WKCD to make its international debut in Venice
WKCD will have its international stepping-out at the 12th Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition, one of the most prestigious and popular contemporary events of its kind in the world.
The WKCD will be one of the main focuses of the Hong Kong exhibition at the 2010 Biennale. A state-of-the-art exhibit room showcasing the three Conceptual Plans for the district, with an introductory video as well as a touch-screen, computerized platform for visitors to provide their feedback, will be available to the public for the duration of the Biennale.
The opening ceremony of the Hong Kong exhibition at the Biennale is on 27 August, 2010. Later in the day, the WKCDA Forum—“Hong Kong Arts: Imagining the Future”—is scheduled to feature Lord Norman Foster, Mr Rem Koolhaas and Mr Rocco Yim talking about their designs in an open public session with Mr Graham Sheffield, CEO of the WKCDA, and Mr Lars Nittve, M+ Executive Director. The Venice Biennale 2010 will be closed on 21 November.
