31st Board Meeting of West Kowloon Cultural District Authority Held Today
The Board of West Kowloon Cultural District Authority ("WKCDA") held its 31st meeting today.
At the meeting, the Board was briefed by the Chief Executive Officer Michael Lynch on the latest development of the West Kowloon Cultural District (“WKCD”) project on various fronts, including the completion of the tree nursery as well as preparation for the groundbreaking of the Xiqu Centre and the architectural competition for the Arts Pavilion. On arts programmes, Mr Lynch briefed the Board about two upcoming events – the second episode of the Xiqu Centre Seminar Series and the Freespace Fest 2013 – which would be held in late September and mid-December respectively.
Apart from receiving reports by the Chief Executive Officer and various Committees, the Board today approved the proposal for Bamboo Theatre 2014, which would be held for the third consecutive year during January and February next year.
